Data we collect
Account data when you sign in with Google (name, email, profile image); purchase data (orders, codes, payment reference and status); gameplay data (scores, attempts, location/GPS while playing and photos you take during a session); and technical data (IP address, logs and cookies).
Purposes and legal bases
We process your data to: provide and deliver the game and your purchase (performance of a contract); show your results and the public leaderboard, take session photos and use your location, and set non-essential cookies (your consent); issue invoices and meet accounting duties (legal obligation); and keep the service secure and prevent fraud (legitimate interest).
Payments
Payments are processed by our payment service provider, EuPago. We never store card or bank details on our servers — only a payment reference and status.
Sharing and processors
We share data only with providers that help us run the service: Google (sign-in), EuPago (payments), our email provider (transactional emails) and our hosting provider (Contabo, servers located in the EU). They act on our instructions under data-processing agreements.
International transfers
Some providers (e.g. Google) may process data outside the EEA. Where that happens, it is covered by appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission standard contractual clauses.
Retention
Account data is kept while your account is active. Billing/invoice data is kept for the legally required period (10 years). Session photos are kept for up to one year and then deleted automatically — you can delete them sooner from your account.
Your rights (GDPR)
You can access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to the processing of your data, and request portability. From your account page you can delete your session photos or permanently delete your account and all associated data. To exercise any right, contact hello@treasurehunters.pt.
Complaints
If you believe your data is not handled lawfully, you may lodge a complaint with the Portuguese supervisory authority, CNPD.
Cookies
We use essential cookies needed for the site to work and, only with your consent, additional cookies. You can manage your choice through the cookie banner.
Security
We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access controls.
